Motions in Africa

“Dragos Lumpan’s “painting” has power and refinement, it is a personal expression of a walk through Africa, free of the complexes and frustrations which are typical for a visit in this space so symbolic. Without feeling obliged to join the infernal commonplace of holiday memories, of the first meeting with the exotic African safari, Dragos Lumpan returns to a state of peace and tranquility that I did not think we could find in the continent that is symbol of attack, of canines, of victims. Violence?! Not by a long shot, the dust of the dry earth, the grass and the rare trees of the savanna are those who master this land.” Text by Matei Matei Câlţia, curator of the exhibition “Motions” at Galeria Posibilă
