In 2013 I attended Berlin Art Week. And I photographed the audience. I photographed them for two reasons: I was pleasantly surprised by the large number of visitors. And I was intrigued by the contrast between the contemporary art exhibited and the audience. From this involuntary comparison the audience came out much better: it could be appreciated for its beauty, for its aesthetic sensibilities, it was very refined. I believe that the audience deserves more from the contemporary art.
