The Last Transhumance

„The Last Transhumance” describes in photography and film the extinction of a millennial way of life. It is a project about shepherds who still practice transhumance, who walk with their animals in order to find food. They sleep together with their animals all the time, either summer or winter, near the herd, in order to protect it against wolves and bears attacks. For some years I followed families of shepherds from Italy, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Wales and Romania. You may read more about this project on www.Transhumance.ro
